Alexander Floury

President/Co-Founder

Alex Floury is the Director of two community ensembles, the Macomb Area Community Band and the Anchor Bay Jazz Orchestra. He taught in Chesaning Schools, Fitzgerald Schools, and Anchor Bay School District. He is currently the President of Ignite Performing Arts and on Band Staff with Lawrence Technological University. He has been an active member of the Michigan School Band and Orchestra Association, National Band Association, National Association for Music Education, and Michigan Music Education Association. As a Conductor, he has led the Pit Orchestra for the Lebowsky Center for the Performing Arts and was selected as one of the Conductors of the Tri-Valley Conference Honor Band in 2018.

As a musician, you may have heard him perform with the Mid-Michigan Jazz Ensemble, East Shore Wind Symphony, Mountain Town Brass Band, Slavistar Gypsy Brass Band, Warren Community Concert Band and the Macombers. You can hear him currently performing with the Southeastern Michigan Wind Ensemble, Rochester Community Concert Band, and Anchor Bay Jazz Orchestra.

Moriah Sultes

Vice President/Co-Founder

Moriah Sultes is a graduate of Wayne State University with her Bachelor of Arts in Instrumental Music Education. Upon completing her bachelor’s degree, Moriah held the position of Assistant Elementary Band Director for Fraser Public Schools where she co-taught 5th and 6th grade band students during full band rehearsal, sectionals, and one-on-one lessons. After a successful year in Fraser, Moriah was offered a position to work as a Program Coordinator and Community Engagement Coordinator for the non-profit El Sistema modeled music program in Philadelphia, Play On Philly. During her two years at Play On Philly, Moriah maintained all site logistics and operations, managed teaching artists, sustained clear and organized communication with families, developed and conserved community partnerships throughout the city, and led the Play On Philly Brass Quintet.

Along with holding those positions, Moriah has spent the past 9 years as an instructor for marching band brass sections with several school districts in the Macomb area. Moriah also holds a Master’s degree from the University of Detroit Mercy in School Psychology and will graduate with her specialist certification in June 2025 where she will work as a School Psychologist in the Macomb area. You can hear Moriah perform with the Anchor Bay Jazz Orchestra and the Southeastern Michigan Wind Ensemble!

Evan Danielson

Secretary/Treasurer/Co-Founder

Evan Danielson has been involved in performing arts education for the last 8 years. Currently, he serves as the Director for the Detroit Pistons Drumline, and the Percussion Director for the Lake Orion Instrumental Music Program. He has been an active music educator and maintains a private lessons studio of piano and percussion students, in addition to working as a clinician with numerous school music programs in the Macomb area. As a performer, you can hear him play percussion with the Detroit Pistons Drumline, the Detroit Red Wings Drumline, the Southeastern Michigan Wind Ensemble, and the Macomb Area Community Band. He also plays piano with a local band, Adel Ruelas y La Luna. Evan is a percussion arranger and his arrangments have been performed in Ford Field for the Michigan Competing Band Association Finals, in Little Caesars Arena for Pistons basketball games, and at the Michigan Alliance for Performing Arts Championships. Evan performs regularly in community theater with On Our Own Productions, and is an active advocate for performing arts education.
