Our Mission
Ignite Performing Arts fosters a diverse musical community, offering accessible, high-quality arts opportunities in education and performance, while encouraging individuals to explore and celebrate their artistic skills to enrich lives and contribute to the cultural fabric of our community.
We plan to offer a variety of ensembles for people of all ages in the metro-Detroit area, including the Spark Youth Jazz Ensemble, the Macomb Area Community Band, and more.

Our History
Ignite Performing Arts was founded in 2023 by a group of passionate musicians and educators who recognized the transformative power of music and the disparities in access to quality arts opportunities. Motivated by a shared belief that everyone deserves the chance to experience the joy and personal growth that music can bring, our Board of Directors came together with a mission to bridge gaps and create a more inclusive musical community.
From its inception, Ignite Performing Arts has been guided by the belief that music has the power to inspire, uplift, and connect people, and the organization remains dedicated to realizing this vision by continually expanding its reach and impact within the community.
