Welcome to Solstice Winterguard — the newest performance ensemble from Ignite Performing Arts, based out of Roseville Middle School in Roseville, Michigan.
Solstice is an Independent Regional A winterguard, created for high school students who are ready to explore the art of performance through dance, equipment, and storytelling. Members of Solstice will train in a positive, team-driven environment where growth, creativity, and confidence take center stage.
Throughout the 2026 MCGC season, Solstice will take the floor with powerful performances that blend athleticism and artistry — showcasing the dedication and passion of every performer.
Whether you’re new to color guard or have years of experience, Solstice is a place to challenge yourself, make lifelong friends, and discover what it means to truly shine.

Eva Troyanovich
Director/Design Coordinator
Eva is the Director of Solstice and Radiance Winterguard. She is currently in nursing school at Oakland University. She has been performing on winterguard teams since 2018 in Resurgence Winterguard and in the Norse Performing Arts society. She is currently the head director of colorguard at Lawrence Tech University. She worked as the assistant coach for the Utica High School colorguard and for Lakeview High School colorguard and was on Utica’s colorguard in high school. She has a profound love for the arts, and her dream is to build two teams that are tight knit and spin together!

Madeline Parks
Assistant Director
Maddie is the Assistant Director of Solstice Winterguard. She works as a robotics engineer as her day job and is proud to be a woman in STEM. She also mentors the FIRST robotics team in Ferndale. She is currently the director of colorguard at Hazel Park High School. She also taught colorguard at Holly Indoor Percussion and was on Ferndale’s colorguard in middle & high school. Her favorite guard equipment to spin is rifles. She loves teaching guard and is excited to be part of Solstice Winterguard’s inaugural season!
