North Coast Academy returns in PIA for the 2025-26 season

After a multi-year hiatus, North Coast Academy Percussion Ensemble (NCA) is thrilled to announce its official relaunch for the 2026 WGI season. Known for excellence in performance, education, and community impact, NCA is returning with a renewed mission to provide a welcoming, inclusive, and enriching environment for young percussionists across the region.
Founded on a legacy of artistic and musical achievement, NCA is proud to reintroduce its ensemble in WGI Independent A Class, emphasizing fundamentals, personal growth, and performance excellence. This level allows students of varying skill levels — from newcomers to experienced performers — to gain world-class experience in a supportive and development-focused setting.
“We’re building more than just a percussion ensemble — we’re building a family,” said Evan Danielson, Operations Director of North Coast Academy. “Our goal is not to use people to make better music, but to use music to make better people.”
Program Director Paul Loos emphasized the care and commitment behind the relaunch, noting that his own nine-year-old son will be marching this season. “That’s the level of trust and community we’re putting into this experience,” he said. “Our staff brings together decades of experience, and many of us are parents ourselves. That personal perspective is shaping a culture rooted in professionalism, safety, and growth.”
